open

standing at this waters edge
looking in at God's own heart
I've no idea where to begin
to swallow up the way things are

everything in me is drawing in
closing in around this pain
I will lay my heart wide open
like the surface of a lake
wide open like a lake

freshness

Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape
Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.

photo walk xxvii

This is from Monday's photo walk around Mill Lake.

I didn't know that ducks have tongues. In one of these pictures, you can see the tongue. I did a google search and confirmed that ducks have tongues, and unfortunately, some people like them steamed.

photo walk xxiv

More from Fish Trap Creek. A little wet and grey, but shock of all shocks, there was also a little sun. Just for the record, I saw blue sky today.
