photo walk xxix

From yesterday, at Fish Trap Creek. Seagulls were out on the ice.

At one point in the path, the ducks come out of the water. They think I have food. Although I like taking pictures of ducks, I don't like thinking that I might be adding to the however-many-pounds of duck feces that the signs say each duck leaves. So I don't bring food.

I didn't know that ducks have claws. Tongues and claws. I shouldn't like to get too close.

Did you notice that they plowed the snow off the paved trails at Fish Trap? I'm really not in favor of them paving trails, but I wouldn't have been able to go for runs outside this week without the paved and plowed trails. Did you see the new boardwalk on the east side of Fish Trap? I have to admit it's quite nice, even though I don't like them paving over the trails...

Mom,

Jonathan was telling me about all the trails being paved. I think it's part of the "Abbotsford Discovery Trail", including the paving of trails behind our place. On a nice day, it's nice not to have the paths paved, but in rain and snow, it sure is nice to be off of the mud.
